AUDITION REQUIREMENT - VISUAL ARTS SCHOOL

Candidates for admission into the Visual Art department must submit a portfolio of 15-20 works in various mediums. At least five works must be drawings or paintings done from direct observation (not from photographs but from actual subjects, still life, portraits, etc.) Applicants should also include examples of creative works that demonstrate basic design and compositional skills. Emphasis is placed on works that represent development of a specific concept or theme. Criteria for acceptance include quality and presentation of work and overall academic achievement.
